O site Monkey.zip quer colocar essa hipótese à prova com uma grade de macacos virtuais que podem ser “adotados” pelos visitantes. A um ritmo de 10 caracteres por segundo, um macaco virtual levará “10^80 anos para escrever Hamlet”, segundo estimativa do criador do site.
