Apple&#8217;s AI takes up several gigabytes of storage and leaves less headroom for RAM. Not a big deal if you&#8217;re running a beefy Mac. I suspect it will be for mine, with its modest 256&nbsp;GB of storage and a mere 8&nbsp;GB of RAM&nbsp;\ud83e\udd72<\/p>\n<p><cite>The Register<\/cite> points to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/ai-and-ml\/2026\/06\/16\/the-new-siri-makes-one-of-apples-most-convenient-os-features-a-cumbersome-mess\/5256591\">another issue<\/a>. With the new Siri&nbsp;AI, Spotlight \u2014 the system-wide search feature \u2014 changes how it behaves. It now attempts to answer queries that previously returned straightforward, predictable results.<\/p>\n<p>Brandon Vigliarolo, the post&#8217;s author, says he&#8217;s used to using Spotlight to kick off a Google search.
